A reader from London writes:
My story comes from a secondment down in Africa. My boss was one of those guys who used bullying to get his way, had the personality of a door, not even wooden at that. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer but he kept tabs on me, intimidating my team to find out where I was and made my life awful. What was most amusing was that he finally did get me sent back however his power ended there when my results were provided for end of year assessment, bonus and promotion in hand. You can imagine his disgust and lack of power to prevent it, funny now cause on reflection he did help me mature quickly since walking around with a knife in your back for 9 months in a foreign land isn’t the most pleasant experience.
P.s. Just heard that he has done it to someone else, wonder when the bosses will get the hint!!!!
