Samsung calls the press to gather in New York in two weeks to announce a new Android product, likely to be available for the holidays.
Update: On second thought, the ticker seems to indicate that Samsung is going to update its Galaxy S line with a new product called Continuum.
I’m not sure what they have in mind but my bet is that Samsung is going to try to get its Android iPod touch into stores for the holidays. Prices for these devices in Europe are €200-€250 for 8GB-16GB which will likely translate to $200-$250 in the U.S.

The YP-G50 runs on Android 2.1 OS and features 3.2-inch screen, 2MP camera, DLNA, Wi-Fi, 8 or 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, GPS, SoundAlive, DivX support and FM Radio.

There is also a much nicer Samsung YP-MB2 player which has specs similar to a Galaxy S phone without the 3G hardware. This would be a stronger competitor against high-end iPod touch devices.
