- Actor Jesse Eisenberg hosted last weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live and was joined — albeit briefly — by none other than Mark Zuckerberg himself. The Facebook CEO, played by Eisenberg in The Social Network, popped in during the actor’s introductory monologue, where among other things, he jokingly took credit for inventing “poking.” Check it out.
- Many Egyptian citizens found themselves without Internet access over the weekend, save for subscribers to one service provider, The Noor Group, which accounts for 8% to 12% of the population and probably remains online because it services the Egyptian stock exchange in Cairo. - More iPad 2 rumors! This time, the speculation comes via Concord Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo: a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, front and rear cameras, the same 1,024 x 768 resolution as the first-generation iPad (bummer), a thinner chassis, some sort of anti-reflective display, and WiFi-only, GSM, and CDMA versions so subscribers on numerous wireless carriers can be happy. - Controversial WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange sat down with 60 Minutes, where he discussed how he deals with sources, WikiLeaks’ invulnerable infrastructure (That’s “just the way our technology is constructed,” he said), and rumors about a bunch of documents that threaten Bank of America. - If you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber, you’re in luck. If there’s any truth to this leaked image, then Amazon’s hard at work on an unlimited, commercial-free, instant streaming service offering up 5,000 movies and TV shows at a limited 480p resolution priced significantly cheaper — at least on a yearly basis — compared to Netflix Instant ($79 versus $95.88).
