Biogen Idec (Nasdaq: BIIB) has agreed to acquire Stromedix Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based biotech company focused on therapies for fibrosis and organ failure. The deal is valued at up to $562.5 million, including a $75 million upfront cash payment.
