DaVita Inc. (NYSE: DVA), a provider of kidney care services, has agreed to acquire HealthCare Partners, a Torrance, Calif.-based operator of medical groups and physician networks. The deal is valued at approximately $4.42 billion, including $3.66 billion in cash and approximately 9.38 million shares of DaVita common stock.
