Will the iPhone 5S come in different colors?

FORTUNE — Another week, another Apple (AAPL) rumor.

This one comes courtesy of the China Times. Different outlets are reporting somewhat different details — likely due to translation — but according to Jefferies Research, the Taiwan-based outlet claims three new iPhone models are in the works: a modest upgrade to the latest model in the form of a 4-inch iPhone 5S and a lower-cost 4.8-inch iPhone awkwardly dubbed “Math” in June, followed months later by a new high-end model with 12-megapixel camera due out the end of October.

Peter Misek, an analyst with Jefferies, agrees that three distinct iPhone models are coming down the pike, but disagrees somewhat on the details. A cheap, new 4.3-inch iPhone and multi-color 4-inch iPhone 5S should hit some time in June or July, while the new high-end model should sport the larger 4.8-inch display and hit in October. “We do not know what this phone will be called and think ‘Math’ might be a mistranslation or a code name,” writes Misek.

These iPhone reports are just the latest in a string of rumors and speculation. Over the last few months, analysts have weighed in. Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray even went so far as to sketch out a product roadmap for 2013 with perhaps Apple’s next highly-awaited product, a television set, due out this November. (To briefly recap, such a device could measure between 42- and 55-inches and cost between $1,500 and $2,000.)

A 4.8-inch iPhone as Misek reports could be a welcome addition to Apple’s smartphone line. Between predictions that larger-screened “phablets” will be big this year, and surveys showing increased customer demand for larger and larger screens, some might consider such an iPhone “phablet” to be the ideal on-the-go device for consuming data over their speedy 4G connections and a safe bet on Apple’s part.
