Private Equity Deals

Aden & Anais, a New York-based provider of infant and juvenile products, has raised an undisclosed amount of equity funding from Swander Pace Capital. A regulatory filing suggests that the investment is around $57 million. Www.adenandanais.com

Dering Capital reportedly is the only remaining bidder for French broadcast tower operator TDF. Reuters previously reported that Dering had offered just shy of $5 billion for TDF – slightly higher than a Canadian consortium led by PSP Investments that has now abandoned the process.

Evidera, a portfolio company of Symphony Technology Group, has acquired Archimedes, a San Francisco-based healthcare modeling company, from Kaiser Permanente. No financial terms were disclosed. Www.evidera.com

Fieldwood Energy LLC, a portfolio company of Riverstone Holdings, has agreed to pay $750 million in cash for oil and gas assets in the Gulf of Mexico from  SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE: SD).

Freeman Spogli & Co. Has acquired a minority stake in Arhaus LLC, a Walton Hills, Ohio-based home furnishings retailer. No financial terms were disclosed. Www.arhaus.com

MedHOK Inc., a Tampa, Fla.-based platform for healthcare provider compliance and improved reimbursement outcomes, has raised $77.5 million in private equity funding from Bain Capital Ventures and Spectrum Equity Investors. Resilience Capital Partners has acquired the direct sales business of G&K Services Inc. (Nasdaq: GK) for an undisclosed amount. Secure Communication Systems, a portfolio company of Vance Street Capital, has acquired Tactical Micro, a Fredericksburg, Va.-based provider of training, instrumentation and surveillance solutions for military and commercial customers. Thomas H. Lee Partners has agreed to acquire online contact lens retailer 1-800 Contacts from WellPoint (NYSE: WLP). No financial terms were disclosed. WellPoint also agreed to sell the assets of Glasses.com and its virtual try-on technology to Luxottica. Www.wellpoint.com

OTHER DEALS

TPG Capital  has agreed to sell Aptalis Holdings, a Bridgewater, N.J.-based drug developer focused on such conditions as cystic fibrosis and gastrointestinal disorders, to Forest Laboratories Inc.  For approximately $2.9 billion. Aptalis had filed for an IPO last month.

Becton Dickinson & Co. Has acquired Alverix Inx., a San Jose, Calif.–based maker of medical diagnostic test equipment. No financial terms were disclosed. New Venture Partners and Safeguard Scientifics spun Alverix out of Avago Technologies in 2007. Www.alverix.com

Skillsoft Ltd., a Nashua, N.H.-based provider of e-learning solutions for enterprise employees, has retained Deutsche Bank to find a buyer, according to Reuters. Yahoo Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) has acquired Aviate, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based developer of an “intelligent” homescreen for Android devices. No financial terms were disclosed.
