FORTUNE — PeopleDoc, a pioneer in human resources digitalization, received $17.5 million in series B funding from Accel Partners in an effort to expand its U.S. Presence, the company announced Thursday.

“PeopleDoc’s cloud-based solution has seen impressive traction on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Philippe Botteri, a partner at Accel Partners in London. Botteri added that the venture investor is keen on the “fast growing company defining the new market of global HR governance.”

The funding will help the company expand its cloud-based services across the states and Europe, where human resource governance has become a top priority for large companies. Many businesses are looking for ways to maintain oversight of their HR operations while reducing administrative costs, and PeopleDoc’s platform is intended to provide a single digital file management system that organizes and tracks organizations’ employee and policy information.

“U.S. HR executives are increasingly looking for more streamlined, unified views of their dispersed HR information,” said Jonathan Benhamou, founder and CEO of PeopleDoc. “Our expertise in this market overseas has already produced several deals with U.S.-based, global companies in the quick few months we’ve been operating here.”

Over 150 companies have signed onto PeopleDoc’s system, including Coins2Day 500 corporations like Starbucks, Dow Chemical and Motorola. The France-based technology company has doubled its European revenue every year since its launch in 2010 and has expanded to offices in New York and Boston.
