Is the device being run through its paces in the videos below a real iPhone 6 or an elaborate fake? In the comment streams where its authenticity is being debated, “real” is winning.
Two sets of videos had surfaced by Monday morning, both from Chinese video sharing sites.
The first four from MiaoPai (via Tech Gadget) are quick (11-sec to 30-sec. Each) and to the point. The fifth, from YouKu (via 9to5Mac) is longer (7:16) and offers more detail.
They both show a working smartphone with a 4.7-inch, 1334 × 750-pixel screen and room for a seventh row of icons. In the longer video you can see a thinner body, a beveled-edge and a camera lens that protrudes slightly out of the back. (English translation here.) A Russian video that surfaced last week showed an on-off button that had moved from the top to the side.
Real or fake? You be the judge. At least for another day. By Tuesday afternoon we’ll know for sure.

Apple is also rumored to be making a 5.5-inch iPhone 6. It may be significant that as of Monday, the day before the big event, no videos of that device had surfaced.
