Though it isn’t a full-scale recall, General Motors is already having trouble with a car from its new model year.

The Detroit car manufacturer has just issued two stop-sale orders for some 2015 Corvettes.

“General Motors has told Chevrolet dealers to stop delivery of approximately 2,000 2015 Corvettes to fix the driver’s airbag. GM has also temporarily stopped shipment of the cars from the plant in Bowling Green, Ky,” the automaker said in a statement.

“Separately, another 800 Corvettes — most of them at dealerships — are on hold because they may have been built with only one of the rear parking brake cables fully seated and engaged.”

In an e-mail to Coins2Day, GM (GM) spokesman Alan Adler said that fewer than 100 of the cars with brake cable issues are in customer possession, and that GM is unaware of any Corvettes with airbag issues that have been taken home by drivers. He also said that a recall has not been publicly announced, and that if there were a recall, customers would be notified by letter.

The Corvette is a hot-selling car for GM. The automaker sold 2,679 Corvettes in August, a jump of more than 300% from the same month last year.
