Hello friends and Coins2Day readers.

Earnings season has arrived in full force. Expect a slew of earnings from big banks including Citigroup, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs. There are also a few tech companies reporting like Google, eBay and Netflix. But even more hyped for the tech obsessed is Apple’s upcoming press event at its headquarters on Thursday at which it’s expected to introduce new versions of its iPad and laptop computers.

Here’s what to watch out for in the week ahead.

1. Apple event 2.0.

Another month, another Apple event. This one, scheduled for Thursday, is generating a little less buzz than last month’s blockbuster unveiling of the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch. Although mostly rumor at this point, you can expect the company to showcase a new line of iPads and iMacs. Don’t expect a larger iPad, however. The company is reportedly delaying it to keep up with the demand for it other products. “It’s been way too long,” Apple (AAPL) teased in its invitation to the “special event.”

2. Financial industry reports earnings

With the start of earning season, a number of banks will report during the week. Highlights include Citigroup on Tuesday (C), Bank of America on Wednesday (BAC), Goldman Sachs (GS) on Thursday and Morgan Stanley (MS) on Friday.

3. Big names in tech also report

Sandwiched between the banks reporting their earnings and the latest Apple announcement, a few high-profile tech companies will be in the news this week by reporting their finances. For instance, both eBay (EBAY) and Netflix (NFLX) will report on Wednesday while IBM (IBM) and Google (GOOG) report Thursday. Keep a close eye on eBay, especially given its announcement that it’ll be spinning-off PayPal in the coming months. Read about that decision here.

4. What do Dunkin’ Donuts and Dominos Pizza have in common?

You guessed it, both brands report their earnings this week as well. Domino’s Pizza (DPZ) is set for Tuesday, while Dunkin’ Brands Group (DNKN) comes in on Wednesday. Zacks Equity Research expects the leading pizza delivery chain to beat expectations in the third quarter after freshening up some of its stores and revising its menu.

5. Economic data

This week will be heavy on economic data including the National Federation of Independent Business small business survey on Tuesday. On Wednesday, investors will get a report on retail sales and the Beige Book, which provides anecdotal information on economic conditions. Jobless claims will come on Thursday while September housing data will be released on Friday.
