Our long national nightmare is almost over — the Apple Genius Bar is about to get less aggravating.

Apple stores across the nation will soon be streamlining the way the help desk works, according to a report on 9to5mac.com. The program, called “the new concierge,” should make it easier to get help with your Apple products.

Apple Store employees will take customers appointments in the store and put them in an iPad. An algorithm will determine which appointments should be prioritized. Texts will then be sent to customers phones telling them how long their wait will be, when they should head back to the stores and when they are able to be helped.

This means the long wait times twiddling your thumbs in a crowded Apple Store could soon be a thing of the past. You can still book appointments online, but these appointments won’t have the text messaging system.
