The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge phones were unveiled this weekend in Barcelona, Spain. The South Korean electronics giant’s most recent attempt to take on Apple were greeted with tremendous fanfare online. Because the Galaxy S5 did not sell as well as the company had hoped, the S6 is focused on design and desirability, rather than packing every possible feature into the device.

And that has irked some of Samsung’s most diehard fans. On Reddit, where opinions on tech products are always plentiful and colorful, there is a thread dedicated to people’s disappointments.

One user noted that the removable back and battery had been removed. This design by Samsung could be an attempt to look more like Apple, but Samsung devotees apparently liked this aspect of the Galaxy line.

Another removed feature being lamented? The slot for an SD card.

For some users, these changes seem to be a deal breaker. “Removable battery was a MAJOR reason I decided to go with a Galaxy phone in the first place,” wrote Redditor Silver_Foxx. “I currently have an S4 and was hoping to upgrade to the S6 when it came out, but with this announcement I will definitely be looking elsewhere.”
