A new piece of office technology could make it much easier for handwritten notes to be uploaded to the cloud and distributed widely — provided your office also has a microwave.
Rocketbook is a new digital notebook made by Rocket Innovations. You can use the Rocketbook and a special pen made by Pilot to take notes as you always would. Then, using the Rocketbook app and your smartphone camera, you take pictures of your pages and they’re instantly uploaded to whatever cloud service you use, like Dropbox, for example.
Once you fill up your notebook, you can actually pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and the heat-sensitive ink disappears. Bam, you’ve got a new notebook.
Users can choose which cloud service and folder your pages go to by marking one of seven symbols at the bottom of each page.
The notebook goes into beta testing in April, according to Rocketbook’s Indigogo page. The notebooks are expected to be delivered in July and cost $25 a piece.
