Hello friends and Coins2Day readers,

The week ahead is stacked with tech conferences including Microsoft Ignite and TechCrunch Disrupt NY. Meanwhile, big name companies are reporting earnings throughout the week like Alibaba (BABA), Tyson Foods (TSN), Adidas, Kellogg (K), and Anheuser-Busch (BUD). Be sure to check out Coins2Day.com coverage of the various tech conferences as well as write-ups and analysis of the earnings.

Here’s what to watch for in the week ahead.

1. Here come the tech conferences

Techies have no shortage of tech conferences this week to get their geek on. TechCrunch Disrupt NY starts Monday along with EMC World in Las Vegas, SuiteWorld in San Jose and Microsoft Ignite in Chicago. “Challenge what you know, reveal new opportunities, spark innovation, and see where technology is headed at the largest and most comprehensive Microsoft technology event,” the company website boasts. Attending gives you the opportunity to “connect with over 300+ key partners and Microsoft product groups” and get demos with new products. As the week continues, look out for the Internet of Things DevCon in Santa Clara, Calif. And VentureScape.

2. Some tech earnings to look out for, too

Another week, another batch of tech earnings. Although many of the major companies including Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB), LinkedIn (LNKD) and Twitter (TWTR) have already reported, a few others are still waiting in the wings. For starters, there’s Electronic Arts (EA) and Groupon (GRPN) reporting on Tuesday. On Thursday, there’s Zynga (ZNGA) and Alibaba.

3. Food earnings are in the mix as well

You can count on a big delivery of food and beverage industry earnings this week including Papa Johns (PZZA) and Tyson Foods, which both report on Monday. Then, on Tuesday, there’s cereal-maker Kellogg. Wednesday marks the last day featuring companies from the industry reporting with Anheuser-Busch on Wednesday morning. Watch for Anheuser-Busch’s earnings call to see if the company apologizes again about a controversial slogan that said customers could drink Bud Light and remove the word “no” from their vocabularies.

4. And some more variety

If tech and food aren’t of interest, there’s a smorgasbord of other companies reporting including Comcast and Loews on Monday. Comcast (CMCSA) should be a fascinating earning to follow given its recently failed acquisition of Time Warner Cable (TWC). Adidas and Sprint (S) report on Tuesday morning and Disney (DIS) on Tuesday afternoon. SeaWorld(SEAS) and Time Inc. (TIME) report on Thursday.

5. Janet Yellen speaks and other economic events

This week also sees a slew of economic events, including Janet Yellen speaking at 9:15 am Wednesday at the Institute for New Economic Thinking Conference on Finance and Society, in Washington, D.C. There’s the ADP Employment Report on Wednesday as well, while jobless claims will be announced at 8:30 am on Thursday. The Employment Situation comes at 8:30 am on Friday.
