Now lovers of Frappuccinos — not an Italian word as far as we know, but an combination of the words “frappé” and “cappuccino” — who are looking for a slightly smaller fix of the coffee milkshake concoction have a new size option: Mini.
Through July 6, Starbucks (SBUX) stores will offer the blended beverage in a 10 oz. “Mini” cup. A Tall Frappuccino, normally the smallest option, holds 12 oz.
A typical Mini “Frap” will have 120 calories and 24 grams of sugar, a bit less than the 180 calories and 36 grams of sugar in a Tall.
In its most recent report, Starbucks had consolidated net revenues of $4.6 billion for the second quarter and earnings per share of 33 cents.
