Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference kicked off on Monday, and the company announced a slew of new upgrades and features for its devices. Here’s a round-up of some of the most noteworthy new stuff.

  • Apple announced a bunch of new features coming to OS X, its desktop operating system. Called El Capitan, the upcoming OS X update features search upgrades, increased functionality, a “Split View” option, new Mail features and more.
  • Apple unveiled its long-awaited music streaming service. Dubbed Apple Music, the $9.99 per month service will be free for the first three months. It comes with Beats One, a 24-hour streaming radio station, as well.

  • Siri is also getting a welcome intelligence boost. With iOS 9, Siri will become increasingly helpful. Siri will come equipped with the ability to search for information better than before; it will also able to answer more complex questions.
  • For the news fanatics out there, Apple’s got you covered. The tech giant unveiled the News app, which grabs stories from publishers including Coins2Day parent company Time Inc., The New York Times, and Conde Nast. Apple Vice President of Product Marketing Susan Prescott spoke about the news aggregation service, saying, “There’s never been a more beautiful magazine reading experience.”
  • Apple Watch’s OS is also getting a boost, allowing developers to code native apps going forward. The Apple Watch will soon have the ability for users to create a new photo album face for the device. It can connect with fitness apps to help with activity tracking, too.
  • Apple Pay is gaining compatibility with some retailers’ rewards points.
