McDonald’s is to offer all-day breakfast starting October 6 after franchisees voted to approve the proposal.

The company has been experimenting with this idea in a few locations since March, the Wall Street Journal reports, and now the top choice for “breakfastarians” is finally converting all of its 14,000+ locations.

Despite customers asking McDonald’s to offer breakfast past its 10:30AM cutoff for years, it held off for so long because it’s a costly transformation ranging from $500 to $5,000 per restaurant. McDonald’s has seen slowing sales recently, and executives hope that this investment will bring them back up to speed.

To keep it simple, the fast food giant will only serve a limited breakfast menu past 10:30; items will vary based on region.

McDonald’s announced the news on Twitter by responding to various tweets over the years about McDonald’s breakfast.
