Michael Simon is stepping down as CEO of LogMeIn, and William Wagner will step into that slot at the end of the year. Simon will remain chairman of the Boston-based software maker.
In 2003, Simon co-founded the company, which offers easy-to-use web conferencing software and remote-access and management products to help in IT support. Last year, LogMeIn (LOGM) entered the burgeoning Internet of Things arena with a series of acquisitions including the $12 million purchase of Ionia.
Wagner came aboard in 2013 as chief operating officer, was promoted to president early this year, and was named to the board of directors later in the year.
