After separating from PayPal, marketplace company eBay is refreshing its mobile apps with a more streamlined experience.

The company’s iPhone, iPad, and Android apps includes a new activity tab, which gives shoppers information on items they have viewed or “watched,” and items they are currently selling on eBay. The shop tab has also been redesigned to let shoppers search for items via a specific vertical, such as fashion, motors, or electronics.

Additionally, eBay (EBAY) includes a Sell tab that is designed to be a centralized place where sellers can list, access tips on selling, and potentially sell through eBay’s valet service, which has an eBay employee collect and sell items for sellers in exchange for a fee.

This redesign is part of eBay’s plan to consolidate all of its apps into one unified experience on mobile devices. In July, the company shut down many of its separate apps, including eBay Motors, eBay Valet, and eBay Fashion.

With the announcement today, eBay said that it is seeing 8.2 million new listings added to its marketplace via mobile apps per week. And eBay’s mobile apps generated $28 billion in mobile commerce volume (which is total sales) in 2014, and $16 billion in the first half of 2015.

It’s no secret that eBay sees mobile commerce as its future, as new CEO Devin Wenig explained to Coins2Day in an interview in July. The big question is with increased competition from Amazon (AMZN), Wal-mart (WMT) and others, whether mobile commerce will be able to supercharge growth at the company post Paypal (PYPL).
