Justin Bieber’s latest single “What Do You Mean?” Debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making him the youngest male artist to ever have a track debut at the top spot on the chart. It’s the 23rd song to ever debut at No. 1, according to Billboard.

“What Do You Mean?” Is Bieber’s first No. 1 — he previously hit No. 2 with “Boyfriend” in 2012 —and takes the highest-ranking spot from The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face.” He dropped the song after a month-long hype campaign aided by the help of famous friends like Ed Sheeran, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kendall Jenner.

It’s the latest single from his forthcoming album, due out Nov. 13, and in an interview with EW earlier this summer a source close to the album said it contains some of Bieber’s most confessional tracks yet. “There’s some spoken-word moments with him literally talking about what he’s going through in his life. It’s all about the experience of being Justin Bieber.”

The song also hit a Spotify record last week when it garnered the biggest first week for a single globally and in the U.S. It was streamed more than 21 million times in five days, beating out One Direction’s latest single, “Drag Me Down.”

Bieber gave the song its first live performance at the VMAs and debuted its music video the same night.
