Amazon Prime members can now watch all six seasons of HBO’s hit Sex and the City, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, through Amazon Video.
The television show, which ran from 1998 to 2004 and has become something of a cult classic, is available on the e-commerce site thanks to a deal which secured the streaming rights for an undisclosed amount. The series can also be watched on HBO and HBO Go, according to Variety.
Per the publication:
Amazon is picking up “Sex and the City” as an extension to its HBO pact last year, which made Prime the exclusive subscription VOD partner for older HBO originals. “Sex and the City” wasn’t available to Amazon until now because of the cabler’s exclusive TV syndication deal with NBCUniversal’s E! Cable channel.
Amazon Prime membership costs $99 a year and comes with a number of other benefits.
“Sex and the City became one of the most popular shows on TV over its six-season run, and we are excited today to give our Prime members access to every episode to watch anytime, anywhere as part of their membership,” Michael Paull, Amazon VP of digital video, said in a statement.
