Messaging app Snapchat has fired its chief talent officer, Simmi Singh, only seven months after she joined, according to a report.
Singh joined the Los Angeles startup from head hunting agency Egon Zehnder, where she was a partner. Snapchat has confirmed the news to The Information, though it declined to provide further details.
In her short tenure, Singh reportedly played a key role in the hiring of Mattel executive Drew Vollero as vice president of finance and acting chief financial officer, according to the news outlet’s anonymous sources. The company had been searching for a new chief financial officer since late last year, and will likely give the permanent job to Vollero.
This is only the latest in a string of executive departures in the past year including Emily White, chief operating officer; Mike Randall, head of monetization; and HR head Sara Sperling.
