Skype, the online communications software owned by Microsoft (MSFT), said on Monday that some users will be unable to make calls because a glitch is rendering contacts offline even when they’re logged in.
“We are working to fix an issue which is preventing some users from logging in & using Skype,” the company tweeted at 7:18 a.m. ET. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The service also acknowledged in a separate post that some messages to group chats were not being delivered and that users who were not already signed in may face difficulty accessing their accounts. “In most cases you can still instant message your contacts,” it wrote.
