Minecraft is on its way to getting a 3-D version with the help of Oculus, Facebook’s virtual reality branch.

The deal was announced on Twitter by Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus VR. On Twitter, he wrote, quite simply, “Minecraft is coming to Oculus!”

Per The Verge:

The Windows 10 version of Minecraft will be compatible with the Oculus Rift headset, according to a Microsoft representative that took the stage at today’s Oculus Connect 2. Further details are sparse, but we’ll learn more closer to the update’s release in spring 2016.

Meanwhile, Markus Persson, the creator and former lead designer for Minecraft, added his two cents. “My opinion on minecraft/oculus? Neato! Now, back to ignoring Quiet because D.D. Obviously is much better.”

Interestingly, Persson had been vocal about his dislike for the social media service, Facebook, which now has a partnership with the game. In 2014, he wrote, “We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus. I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out.” At the time, the tweet garnered over 15,000 retweets.

Notably, Minecraft is owned by Microsoft, which acquired it for a whopping $2.5 billion last September. Facebook acquired Oculus in 2014 for $2 billion.
