We asked Jose Lopez, the chief concierge of the Palace Hotel, to plan a single, spectacular day in San Francisco…

1. Helicopter tour of the city

I would arrange for a carriage to take guests to the Embarcadero, where they would board a private charter boat to sail under the Golden Gate and Bay bridges on their way to the peninsula. Once docked, they’d take a scenic helicopter tour of the city before flying to Napa Valley to visit the finest California wineries.

3. Lunch at Thomas Keller’s famed French Laundry

At lunchtime a coveted table will await them at Thomas Keller’s famed French Laundry.

4. Shopping at Gump’s luxury store

After returning to the city they would be driven to Gump’s, an only-in-San Francisco luxury store, where they could shop for the perfect keepsake, followed by a stroll along Market Street, then a stop at Meyerovich Gallery for a private tour of works by artists such as Picasso, Monet, and Matisse.

5. Private supper at the Palace Hotel

Back at the hotel, our guests would indulge in an in-room massage, with cocktails and a late supper in a private dining room.
