The Democratic Party will hold its second debate of the primary season on Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET. The event will air on CBS, its radio affiliates and stream online at http://www.cbsnews.com/live/. The debate is expected to last about two hours.
After former Senators Jim Webb and Lincoln Chaffee dropped out of the race, the Democratic field is down to just three candidates: Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley.
The event, co-sponsored by CBS (CBS), Twitter (TWTR), and the Des Moines Register, will be moderated by Face the Nation host John Dickerson, who says he will cover a wide range of topics but focus much of his energy on the economy, including the issues of “stagnant wages for the middle class and the rising costs of health care, education and retirement,” according to a report in the Des Moines Register.
