This story has been updated to reflect comment from a spokesperson for Adele.

Less than a day before Adele’s highly anticipated 25 is to debut, Spotify tells Coins2Day the album will not be streamed on its site upon its release.

“We love and respect Adele, as do her 24 million fans on Spotify,” a spokesperson wrote in an email. “We hope that she will give those fans the opportunity to enjoy 25 on Spotify alongside 19 and 21 very soon.”

The New York Times first reported that 25 would not available on major streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music (AAPL) and that Adele had input in making the decision to keep her music off of them.

The album is being released by Columbia Records in the U.S. XL Recordings is releasing it in Europe and other markets around the world.

The decision comes a year after Taylor Swift kept her own album, 1989, from being streamed on Spotify after complaints about the royalty paid to artists by the service.

UPDATE: Adele’s U.S. Spokesperson tells Coins2Day they have no comment on the subject.

Coins2Day has also reached out to Sony Entertainment, which owns Columbia Records, as well Apple Music, for comment.

In October, Coins2Day reported that Adele’s album would help save the music industry after the release of her single “Hello.”

This story has been updated with comment from Adele’s U.S. Spokesperson.
