LAS VEGAS, NV - DECEMBER 20: Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega (C) removes the crown from Miss Colombia 2015, Ariadna Gutierrez (L), in order to give it to Miss Philippines 2015, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (R), after host Steve Harvey mistakenly named Gutierrez the winner instead of Wurtzbach during the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on December 20, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s been almost three days since Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was embarrassed on national television at the Miss Universe pageant and now she’s taking to social media to share her thoughts.

Near the end of the broadcast, host Steve Harvey mistakenly named her Miss Universe. Minutes later, she was quickly stripped of her crown when the title was awarded to the judge’s pick, Miss Phillippines.

Gutierrez was filmed after the broadcast saying that “everything happens for a reason.”

This time, Miss Colombia posted her reaction on her Instagram account. “After the storm comes the calm,” she began. “Your destiny is written for you. And my destiny was this. I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes.”

“I also want to congratulate the Philippines for their new Miss Universe,” Gutierrez added. “The happiness that you must be feeling must be incredible.”

The 16-hour old post has already garnered over 120,000 likes and 20,000 comments.

Meanwhile, in a radio interview on Tuesday, WME/IMG chief content officer Mark Shapiro said Harvey is welcome to host the pageant next year.

“He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself,” said Shapiro.
