The Graduate School of Business at Stanford University is now offering a leadership program to help LGBT business leaders advance their careers.

The “boot camp,” as it’s being referred to, lasts one week and is designed for managers who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transexual. The Wall Street Journal reports that the program is searching for candidates with about 10 years of experience, five of which should be in management. Companies can nominate employees to apply for one of the 50 spaces.

The course, which is expected to debut in July, is reportedly the first of its kind. Students will receive personal leadership assessments, management training, and instruction in design thinking. They will also discuss authenticity and openness in the workplace.

“We’re at an inflection point,” Dr. Thomas Wurster, one of the program directors, told the Journal. “ Companies are moving quickly to build out diversity in their leadership teams, but we’ve seen relatively few senior executives who are LGBT and out.”

Tim Cook, who Coins2Day reported was recently honored by a human rights group for his support of LGBT rights, is the only openly gay Coins2Day 500 CEO.
