Tired of typing each letter of your video streaming searches into your Apple TV manually? Or punching in each individual character of your username and password when logging in?

Apple (AAPL) hears you. The company has included a new feature in the beta version of an upcoming software update: voice dictation. Now when entering a film or TV show title into the search box, a user can simply hold down the Siri microphone button on his or her remote control, and speak the letters individually. Same goes for the account entry field.

The Apple-centric blog MacRumors released a demo of the tvOS 9.2 beta feature here, which shows how it works:

Apple TV had already enabled Siri, which made it easier to search for fully spoken movies titles. Searching a letter or word at a time, however, was a hassle. The update removes that hunt-and-peck obstacle.

Users will also be able to search the App Store from anywhere with simple commands spoken to Siri. For instance, a person could press the mic button and ask, “What games are in the App Store?”

The official update is expected to hit Apple’s set top box this spring, with more timing details likely arriving at an Apple event reportedly slated for March 15th.

Just remember to be careful when speaking your password out loud.
