Apple is readying its latest operating system update, and it looks like it will include a long-awaited new presence: Siri.
The new update, known as OS X 10.12, is expected for this fall and will expand Siri’s reach across Apple’s Mac computer lines, reported 9to5Mac. That means you can now hit up Siri from your iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac.
Its reveal, though, is expected to come much sooner . Apple is expected to introduce the new operating system update this June at its Worldwide Developers Conference.
Apple (AAPL) has been exploring adding Siri to the Mac range since at least 2012, but sources told 9to5Ma c that the company hadn’t developed a clear vision for Siri’s integration on the Mac until now.
Siri is expected to live as a service in the Menu Bar, much like the search and notification functions. When pinged, she will show up in the upper right corner as a dark, transparent orb with colorful “sound waves,” much like in the full-screen iPhone version. The final version is still being developed, according to 9to5Mac, and could change before its reveal in June.
