Donald Trump’s son, Eric, has reportedly received a threatening letter with white powder in it at his New York City apartment.
The powder didn’t appear to be hazardous in preliminary tests, reports say. But the enclosed note threatened the Trump family if Donald Trump didn’t drop out of the presidential race.
“At approximately 7:15 p.m., the NYPD responded to a residential building at 100 Central Park South to investigate a report of a suspicious letter received by a tenant,” the NYPD said in a statement to ABC News. “The letter has been removed and is being examined by law enforcement authorities. No injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.”
The letter had a Massachusetts postmark. Eric Trump has appeared alongside his father on the campaign trail and runs the family’s hotel business. He lives at Trump Parc East, a high-end residential building on Central Park South in Manhattan.
