Google’s email app is getting more organized.

The search giant’s Inbox app, a sleeker and more feature-packed version of Gmail, received several new updates on Wednesday that are designed to make sifting through thousands of emails less of a chore.

Now, when you create an event via Inbox like a friend’s birthday party, all the relevant emails related to the event should be spooled together so you can more easily see them in one place, according to a Googleblog post about the app updates.

If a friend decides to back out of the birthday party and sends a last second email, you should be able to see that email grouped together with similar emails when you tap on the event displayed within the app’s calendar.

Google (GOOG) is also adding a preview feature that will let users see an abbreviated version of email newsletters they may receive. These preview versions display only the titles of linked articles contained in the newsletters, and it will punch out more details for the newsletter if a reader clicks on it.

Finally, you can now save web links contained in emails so that you can keep better track of the articles you may want to read. The “Save to Inbox” feature compiles the links so you can view them in one place after saving.

In March, Google rolled out a “smart reply” feature to its Inbox app that uses machine-learning algorithms to train the email system to mimic language used by the sender for the purpose of auto-replying.
