On Saturday, April 30, Warren Buffett holds his annual shareholder meeting for his company Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) in Omaha, Neb. And for the first time this year, the meeting dubbed “Woodstock for Capitalists” will be webcast online, allowing investors and fans of the Oracle to live stream the event as they would a football game or political debate.
What time is the webcast?
Buffett and his partner Charlie Munger kick off the show at 9 a.m. C.T.—that’s 10 a.m. In New York and 7 a.m. In Los Angeles—and will answer questions from a panel of interviewers as well as shareholders until 3:30 p.m. C.T.

“Charlie and I have finally decided to enter the 21st Century,” Buffett wrote in his annual letter to shareholders to explain his decision for webcasting the meeting, which has never before been broadcast, and previously was only open to Berkshire investors.
Buffett is also hoping that live-streaming the event will ease crowding at the meeting itself. Last year, more than 40,000 people showed up in-person, forcing some attendees to view the action—Buffett and Munger waxing poetic on their management philosophy while slurping Coke and snacking on See’s candies—on a screen at the hotel next door. This year, anyone can get the same not-quite-firsthand experience as long as they have a WiFi connection.
In choosing to webcast the meeting, the Oracle of Omaha also acknowledged his and Munger’s advanced age (Buffett is 85; Munger is 92) and that his shareholders “would want to look in occasionally to make sure we hadn’t drifted off into la-la land,” but he didn’t want to force them to travel all the way to Nebraska to do so. “In making your evaluation, be kind: Allow for the fact that we didn’t look that impressive when we were at our best,” Buffett wrote in his letter.
