It looks like McDonald’s (MCD) has a new hit menu item on its hands.

The fast food giant has run out of its Gilroy Garlic Fries soon after announcing that they were testing them. The company broadcasted the news on Twitter this past Saturday, just four days after the official announcement and less than two weeks after testing began:

McDonald’s was testing the fries in just four locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. According to SFGate, the restaurants won’t be restocked for another few weeks.

“In less than two weeks, our small, four restaurant test of Gilroy Garlic Fries has been a huge success, and we are now experiencing a temporary shortage of supplies,” a company spokesperson told SFGate. “We are excited about how many people have visited our restaurants to try their fries, and we apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.”

Though Bay Area residents have to wait to get their Garlic Fries fix, this is still good news for fans of McDonald’s and Gilroy Garlic. The company said that it would extend the new menu item to all of its 250 Bay Area locations if the test goes well. Considering this may be McDonalds’ best test ever, the chances are looking really good.
