Logitech, with headquarters in Switzerland and Silicon Valley, is best known for computer keyboards, Bluetooth speakers, video-conferencing equipment, and gaming accessories. But about 18 months ago, the computing accessories company decided to solve a Goliath-sized issue that the likes of Apple, Microsoft, and Google (among others) haven’t cracked quite yet.
Logitech (LOGI) has created its own save-us-from-ourselves app and smartphone mount that allows you to swipe your hand in front of your phone’s screen to send texts, get directions and access music—and that requires no physical interaction with buttons, your phone, or your vehicle’s instrument panel. Called ZeroTouch, it’s a product that wants to live up to its name and take key smartphone functions into the voice-command-only realm.

“Existing solutions are great—but you have to buy a whole vehicle and still touch buttons to use them,” CEO Bracken Darrell tells Coins2Day. “We called it ZeroTouch—not SomeTouch—because our intention was to make it a lot less distracting than any other solution out there.”
Launching in the U.S. And Germany today, ZeroTouch costs $59 for the app and a standard mount, or $79 for an extended mount. Too good to be true? Yes—if you are an iPhone user.
“We can make it work with Apple [products] today, but not with no-touch. As a company, we can afford to do this right and we should hold our ground—no tradeoffs on no-touch,” says Darrell. “We’ve drilled down super deep on this—you can even use it in your home.”
