Good morning, Broadsheet readers! A shocking number of women say Donald Trump “gets” them, Angelina becomes Professor Jolie Pitt, and Coins2Day’s Most Powerful Women convene in New York. Enjoy your Tuesday.

EVERYONE'S TALKING

• New York state of mind. Speaking at last night's Coins2Day Most Powerful Women “Evening With…” dinner in New York City, Sam's Club CEO Rosalind Brewer talked to Coins2Day's Pattie Sellers about everything from her company's strategy for taking on giants like Costco and Amazon to her reaction to the drama that occurred after she addressed diversity issues on CNN (she was called a racist—and worse). The event also featured cameos by Estée Lauder image director Aerin Lauder and lifestyle legend Martha Stewart, who shared some advice from her father: You can be anything you want, as long as you "work hard, be proud, get a good education."

ALSO IN THE HEADLINES

• Trump just gets them? Which 2016 presidential candidate best speaks for women? Donald Trump. Well, at least according to one poll in which the majority of female voters said Trump "does the most to voice their opinions." Bernie Sanders came in second, with Hillary Clinton bringing up the rear. Perhaps not surprisingly, those Trump boosters are also more likely prioritize security than "women's issues." Coins2Day

• Hillary ain't afraid of no ghost. The Ellen DeGeneres Show announced that an upcoming show will feature Hillary Clinton and the cast of the new all-female Ghostbusters reboot. While the Clinton campaign seems to welcome the chance to share the air with a group of hip actresses, Sony, the studio behind the film, has a different take. It has been attempting to tamp down the sexist internet furor over the film, and does not appear excited to be associated with the candidate. New York Times

• A super idea. DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson talks about why she decided to launch DC Super Hero Girls, a new franchise of teen characters aimed at girls age six to 12, which she predicts will blossom into a $1 billion brand. Coins2Day

• One down. Now that Denis Baupin, vice president of France's lower house of Parliament, has been forced to resign over numerous accusations of sexual harassment, will the country's most powerful men clean up their acts? New York Times

• Professor Jolie? Angelina Jolie Pitt is set to join the London School of Economics as a visiting professor for a new masters course on women, peace and security. And she soon may be lecturing on this side of the pond, too: Georgetown University is in talks to bring the program to its campus. People

• A tale of two electorates. In one of two very different takes on how women view Hillary Clinton, Fast Company writes about how some young women in tech say that volunteering for Clinton's campaign has been a goldmine of a networking opportunity. Meanwhile, The Guardian talks to a number of women across the political spectrum who have one thing in common: They will not vote for Clinton.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

• Rolling in the dough. Adele is getting ready to sign a $130 million record deal with Sony Music—the biggest contract ever awarded to a British artist.  Coins2Day

• Fields is back in the field. Michelle Fields, the former Breitbart News reporter who accused Donald Trump's campaign manager of assaulting her in March, has taken a job with the Huffington Post, where she will cover the remainder of the 2016 campaign.  CNNMoney

• Bill & Melinda & Susan. Two years into her tenure as chief executive of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Dr. Susan Desmond-Hellmann reflects on the "coolest" things the organization has accomplished and what she's learned from her famous bosses. To read the full text of her first CEO Letter for the Foundation, click here. New York Times

• Plant power pair. Alexis Fox and Micah Risk are co-founders of Lighter, a startup designed to make it easier to eat vegan.  Forbes
