Samsung (SSNLF) has announced a special version of its Galaxy S7 Edge phone, to “commemorate” the third anniversary of a DC-comics-themed mobile game.
It’s a sleek, black-with-gold-trim version of the firm’s flagship Android handset with the familiar Batman logo on the back, apparently inspired by Injustice: Gods Among Us. The phone is called the “Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition.”
The handset will be available early next month, but only in selected territories, including China, Singapore, Korea, Russia and Latin America.

Although the packages may vary by territory, they will generally come with a Gear VR virtual-reality headset (in black, naturally), Injustice game credits and Oculus VR content vouchers. Oh, and a gold “batarang.”
The S7 Edge and its more traditional sibling the S7 (which doesn’t have the screen spilling over the edges of the device) have turned out to be big hits for Samsung, proving more successful than last year’s S6 line.
