Ari Emanuel, the Hollywood super-agent whose brother Rahm served as President Obama’s chief of staff, will not be working on a celebratory Republican National Convention film about Donald Trump, Coins2Day has learned. Moreover, neither Emanuel nor his firm, William Morris Endeavor (WME), will be working on behalf of Trump’s campaign.
Trump, who was once represented by WME, said in a Hollywood Reporter interview that Emanuel had offered to produce the convention film, adding, “Yeah, I might do something with Ari.”
Emanuel and Trump have indeed kept in touch during the campaign, but those conversations will not culminate in a business relationship before the November election.
Emanuel has contributed money to Hillary Clinton, although he has not chimed in publicly on her expected match-up with Trump. WME does not have a history of getting involved with political campaigns.
A WME spokesman confirmed that Emanuel will not be working on anything related to the Republican National Convention.
