The healthcare industry had a busy 2015, as drug price wars helped certain companies while hindering others. Meanwhile, the industry’s mergers-and-acquisition spree continued with some big-ticket purchases, though not all were successful. Most of the top 10 companies in the sector have cashed in on the changes and rocketed up the Coins2Day 500 list, including McKesson (MCK), which moved to No. 5 from No. 11, and UnitedHealth Group (UNH), which went to No. 6 from No. 14. Only one of these health-care behemoths lost ground in the Coins2Day 500 rankings this year: Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) fell two spots to No. 29. However, most health care companies have surfed the wave of change, finding ways to maintain or improve sales amid a quickly evolving sector.
