Starbucks really, really wants people to come back to its stores after their morning coffee.
On Wednesday, Microsoft unveiled a new add-on for its Outlook app enabling people to schedule meetings directly at a Starbucks (SBUX) location.
Here’s how it works, according to Microsoft’s (MSFT) announcement:
Simply click the “Meet at Starbucks” command from the ribbon when creating a new meeting request, search for your favorite Starbucks store, and add it as the location of your upcoming meeting.
Outlook users can also now send each other Starbucks eGift cards directly from the app (and if they do so now they get $5 in return).
This is the company’s latest out-of-the-box attempt to bring in more customers in the afternoons and evenings. On Tuesday, Starbucks announced a new “Sunset Menu,” which is only served after 3 p.m. And offers desserts and caffeine-free beverages. This spring, the coffee brand started selling alcohol in its Canadian stores.
