Online marketplace eBay has added Logan Green, the co-founder and CEO of ride sharing service Lyft, to its board.

Green, 32, will become eBay’s twelfth and youngest, board member.

For eBay, Green brings the youthful experience of building a marketplace in a world dominated by mobile. EBay, which split from payments giant PayPal last year, has been facing stagnant revenue as it struggles to compete with the leader in online retailing, Amazon.

EBay’s revenue in the first quarter grew a tepid 4% to $2.1 billion. The company also reported disappointing earnings for the 2015 holiday season.

“As an independent director, Logan Green is a technology entrepreneur and leader who will bring great experience and insights to eBay’s Board of Directors,” said eBay’s CEO Devin Wenig in a statement. “Logan understands the possibilities of the sharing economy for people around the world, and his perspective is aligned with eBay’s purpose as we connect millions of buyers and sellers to create greater opportunity.”

Under Green’s direction, Lyft, which was last valued at $5.5 billion, has been growing despite competition from rival Uber. General Motors recently backed the company, and Lyft recently teamed up with Chinese ride sharing juggernaut Didi Kuadi to let their respective customers book and pay for rides through each other’s services when traveling abroad. The company has also been working on self-driving cards with investor GM.

It will be interesting to see if Green helps eBay develop its own on-demand services. EBay dabbled in on-demand shipping, but shut down the service last fall.
