Soon you’ll be able to automatically translate comments, captions, and user bios in your Instagram feed.
The image-sharing social network is rolling out the feature next month, and it will be visible by tapping a new “see translation” option under comments and captions.

Other major social networks, like Twitter (TWTR) and Facebook (FB) (Instagram’s parent company), have already had automatic translation for some time now. When the new option rolls out in July, translation may not be available on older posts, or for languages Instagram can’t detect or doesn’t support yet.
The feature comes not long after Instagram updated its logo and interface design, but the change was not received well by users. Back in April, the social network tested algorithmic filtering on its photo feed, with the goal of showing users photos it thinks a user may be more interested in, as opposed to showing pictures posted in chronological order.
