Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will endorse Hillary Clinton for president.
Biden told NPR’s Rachel Martin in a sit-down interview that he has talked to Sanders and that he will endorse Clinton, though no word of when this endorsement will come.
“Oh, I’ve talked to Bernie, Bernie’s going to endorse her, this is going to work out,” Biden told Martin in an interview set to air this weekend. “The Democrats are coalescing even before this occurs.”
Sanders, who lost the delegate race in the Democratic primaries to Clinton, has continued to campaign, telling supporters last week that he would continue his “political revolution.” He did say, however, that he would vote for Clinton in November, but hadn’t endorsed her for president because he “hadn’t heard her say the things I need to hear said.”
