Unless you’re in the toy or entertainment industry, you probably aren’t targeting children as your business audience. But, if you’re Gary Vaynerchuk, children are indeed part of your core prospective clients. The business owner, author, and social media personality tells Aaron Task on our new podcast Coins2Day Unfiltered that he hopes to be the business mentor for young kids and build a business school for them.
Being entrepreneurial as a child—Vaynerchuk reportedly made $2,000 a weekend selling baseball cards as a 12-year-old—he wants to help those in the youngest generation with the same passions.
But his aspirations do not only include helping children succeed in business.

As he puts it, he wants to build the biggest building in town (and he doesn’t mean that literally). He means it more in the way that Steve Jobs built his business and legacy. He even compared himself to Jobs. His building can comprise of his company VaynerMedia that advises Coins2Day 500 companies and his investment fund VaynerRSE.
Vaynerchuk’s past includes helping to expand his father’s liquor store, opening his own wine business, launching one of the first three e-commerce sites, and hosting a YouTube show within the company’s first year of existence.
A sought-after speaker for business events, he tells people that it is more important how you make money than how much you’ve made. Also, it’s best to succeed by going all in on your strengths and not working on your weaknesses. This may seem counter-intuitive, but then again, Vaynerchuk describes himself as counter-cultural.
