Coins2Day‘s Andrew Nusca spoke with Glenn Merry, the CEO of USRowing, about Rio 2016 and the growing popularity of the sport. Merry says he’s not too worried about the polluted waters reported in Rio; the team is used to a wide range of health concerns wherever they row, he says. As for the sport itself, rowing has definitely seen a boost in interest—in the last two decades, the number of U.S. Rowing clubs have skyrocketed from 400 to 1,450—and it’s equal between men and women.
