Apple will hold its special iPhone event on Sept. 7.

At long last, we have a date for when Apple is expected to unveil its next iPhone.

The tech giant sent out invites on Monday to its highly anticipated press event, scheduled for September 7 at 10 a.m. PT at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

The event, which had been rumored for the last several months, is expected to showcase a new iPhone, perhaps known as the iPhone 7. Other rumors have hinted Apple could unveil a new Apple Watch and perhaps new versions of its iPad.

Characteristically, Apple’s (AAPL) invite sheds little light on the company’s plans. The invite’s caption only reads “See you on the 7th” and the design itself, which depicts what appears a blurry top to Apple’s logo, does little to tell users what to expect.

However, the company holding the event on Sept. 7 and informing users can expect to see Apple “on the 7th,” suggests the next iPhone could be called the iPhone 7 and not the iPhone 6SE as some earlier rumors had suggested.

Still, the notoriously secretive Apple hasn’t been able to keep a lid on the rumor mill, which continues to churn out reports that this year’s iPhone will only be a minor update. Those reports suggest that this year’s handset will come with the same 4.7- and 5.5-inch screen sizes and a slight tweak to the design that will see the iPhone’s antenna lines moved to the spine of the device, rather than across its back.

There’s also talk that the next iPhone will come with dual speaker grills, forcing Apple to eliminate the headphone jack. Audio, therefore, would be listened to with help from Bluetooth headphones.

Perhaps the biggest reported change is Apple’s possible plans to offer three versions of its next iPhone. The first two would come with updated components and same screen sizes. Another version, perhaps called “iPhone 7 Pro,” would come with a dual-lens camera on the back that would enhance picture-taking and deliver higher-quality images, according to several reports. The invite’s design showing a blurry image suggests major camera updates are coming.

However, those hoping to get a new iPhone are most interested in when it will launch. On that front, reports are a bit mixed, with one saying that it will hit store shelves on Sept. 16 and another saying Apple isn’t planning to launch its iPhones until Sept. 23. Preorders on those devices will likely begin about a week or so before the iPhone launches.

Ultimately, only Apple knows what it has planned for the future, and it isn’t saying a thing until Apple CEO Tim Cook and his fellow executives take the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Sept. 7.
