Burger King is getting cheesy for its new flavor of Chicken Fries.
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 14, the burger chain will sell Cheetos Chicken Fries for a limited time at participating restaurants,—though it’s uncertain just how long this offer will last. The fries are made to “have a dangerously cheesy outside with and made with juicy white meat chicken inside,” and cost $2.89 for a nine-piece order.
Classic Chicken Fries first appeared on Burger King’s (BKW) menu in 2005 and were phased out about seven years later. They were reintroduced as a limited-time offer in 2014, and thanks to an increase in sales and overall demand, the chain added them back for good. (It’s also possible the fries became a permanent fixture with the help of a One Direction band member.)
Since then Burger King has tested a variety of flavors: Fiery Chicken Fries, Jalapeno Chicken Fries, and Buffalo Chicken Fries.

This new version strays from spice, but it’s not the first time Burger King has used Cheetos in its food. Back in June, it added Mac n’ Cheetos, which are essentially fried macaroni and cheese bites covered with Cheetos dust.
Burger King could not immediately be reached for comment.
