If you thought Donald Trump would change his brash style for the first presidential debate, you thought wrong.

By our count, the Republican nominee who made waves during primary season by belittling Fox News host Megan Kelly and tweeting unflattering photos of Ted Cruz’s wife, had already interrupted Hillary Clinton at least 11 times by 10:30 p.m. E.T.

One of first interjections came after Clinton accused Trump of rooting for the housing crisis.

“[Trump] said, back in 2006, ‘Gee I hope it does collapse because then I can go in and buy some and make some money,'” Clinton said. “Well it did collapse.”

“That’s called business by the way,” Trump interrupted.

Later, Trump critized Clinton’s record on job creation, after which Trump turned up the heat, interrupting Clinton at least 10 times in roughly 10 minutes.

“For 30 years you’ve been doing it, and now you’re just starting to think of solutions,” Trump said.

“Well actually…” Clinton interrupted.

“Excuse me,” Trump replied, cutting her off. “I will bring back jobs. You can’t bring back jobs.”

“Well actually I have thought about this quite a bit,” Clinton continued.

“Yeah, for 30 years,” Trump interrupted again.

“Well not quite that long,” Clinton replied. “I think my husband did a pretty good job in the 1990s…”

“Well he approved NAFTA,” Trump interrupted once more,” which is the single worst trade deal ever approved in this country.”

On numerous occasions as the debate wore on, Trump would cut in over Clinton by simply saying, “wrong.”
